The thing I wish I'd learned sooner

I spent many years following knitting patterns, learning new techniques, and making increasingly complicated things.

But I still had this nagging feeling that I didn't really understand how all the pieces fit together.

I'd follow an instruction and wonder:

After 10+ years of knitting (read: unravelling) and a degree in dressmaking, I realized there was a logic behind it all.
